Free Technology Festival Taking Place |
BPM, the team behind The Bu2iness website is hosting a new event - the ‘Free Tech Fest’ - a festival promoting the use of all kinds of free technology designed to add value and lower costs for businesses aimed at owner-managed, independent estate agencies.
‘We believe that this is the technology vision of the future for all businesses – with Hotmail and Google being the ambassadors of this movement towards the use of free technology’, commented company director Charlie Wright. ‘Why pay for Microsoft Office when you can make documents, spreadsheets and presentations for free?’, he continued.
The Bu2iness is following in these leaders footsteps by providing a free new product for estate agents.
The Free Tech Fest will be held on the 18 September at The Radisson Hotel in Heathrow, which they hope will make it easily accessible for all agents, and BPM are saying that they will pay for the petrol of whoever travels the furthest to get to the festival as measured by Google Maps.
The festival will consist of informative demonstrations by representatives from Google, Mozilla Firefox, Globrix and The Bu2iness (tbc), with agents being able to test out all the free products on the day. There will also be entertainment, such as live singers and comedy acts, as well as the opportunity to test-drive some brand new cars.
Key demonstrations will include: How to get all your properties onto the main portals for free; how to get advanced map searching for properties into your existing website for free; how to create Word documents, Spreadsheets and presentations for free without using Microsoft Office.
Entrance to the event is free although tickets are limited.
